Recently, with exemplary efforts by advocacy leaders of IIDA (International Interior Design Association), ASID (American Society of Interior Design) and CIDA (Council for Interior Design Accreditation) and the support of the Governor, State of Illinois representatives and many sponsors, the State of Illinois passed legislation allowing registered interior design professionals who have passed professional certification requirements in specific circumstances to stamp and seal their own drawings.
