marquardt+ in partnership with Miller Zell Atlanta, was selected by Cirque du Soleil to create a completely new Front of House/Retail experience for their traveling show. For the first time, Cirque du Soleil decided that they needed to hire an outside creative source to provide expertise in retail environments, product display and information presentation.
The design team and Miller Zell designed layout and overall feel of the interior public entry experience which includes all of the retail, food concessions, corporate sponsorship information and way finding directing the audience to the performance tent. The design team completed the finalized design and development package, and Miller Zell proceeded with fabrication resolution, production and installation. Cirque du Soleil’s new Front of House Retail Space premiered May 2009 in Montreal at the opening of OVO, Cirque du Soleil’s then newest show.
