Future Prentice Competition
We are proud to announce our partner firm, Gridwerk Architecture has been awarded 3rd place in the 2012 Chicago Prize Competition: Future Prentice, out of 71 entries from 13 countries. marquardt+ had the honor of working with the Gridwerk Team to help design the layout of the submission, add entourage to the renderings, and provide copy writing services. m+ was able to bring a level of detail to the package design, layout and entourage in line with Gridwerk’s architectural vision. DIN was chosen as the font for the package because it debuted in 1931, when Bertrand Goldberg was first studying architecture.
GWA’s design and program preserve Prentice as a center for community education with learning labs and science focused galleries, while creating a state-of-the-art laboratory research center connected by an open green roof ‘park’, accessible to the surrounding community, in the center of Northwestern’s campus.
